While we understand delays happen, extending the charter may not be possible due to availability. Charters are scheduled according to the reservation’s start and stop times. Should extended time be possible, an additional charge will be incurred. If you are running late, please contact your captain with anticipated arrival time.
The temperature on the water can change throughout the day so we highly recommend you wear layers. We recommend you bring a light sweater or jacket as well. Shoes must be removed before boarding.
At LEI Boat Charter safety of our guests and crew is our top priority. Coast guard approved life jackets available for all guests aboard. Life jackets are required for children under 13.
No smoking allowed. We adore our furry family members but only service pets are allowed aboard.
At LEI we love being festive and decorations are encouraged for your special event (Captain’s hats for the entire party, all white everything and pirate themed all make for some amazing photos). Please note, we do not allow balloons, confetti, and sparklers. This is to protect the incredible sea creatures and sea life we love enjoying while on the yachts.
Gratuity is not included in the booking price of your charter. Although not required, 10% – 20% gratuity to our hardworking crew is greatly appreciated, payable via Venmo or cash.
All of our charters aboard LEI Boat Charter are Bareboat charters and therefore the max capacity is 12 guests.
A bareboat charter is a vessel that is leased by the owner to another person (a charterer) for a period of time and the charterer has the right to choose their own crew. Once the charterer takes possession of the vessel, the charterer becomes entirely responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel and its passengers. The owner of the vessel is generally not responsible for any collision, personal injuries, and wages for the crew. The charterer is responsible for the vessel’s crew, fuel, insurance, any maintenance and repairs, and any liability associated with use and possession of the vessel. The charterer must have the option of selecting and paying crew and may discharge the master or any crew member without referral to the owner. The owner may require general levels of proficiency for the crew that is retained based on federal statutes; and charterers and passengers are solely responsible for making sure they understand and agree to the terms of any bareboat charter agreement.
